As Minnie made her way to the rest rooms on the far side of the shopping centre, she decided she would head home to the comfort of the silence; the memories of her recently passed mother surrounded her there and made her feel safe. As the days turned into weeks, Tara’s voice wouldn’t return, nor would her memory of those events which everyone said were so dreadful – the counsellor was kind, the police were annoyed and her parents were frustrated. But nothing helped Tara – she was in a big black void. She began walking to the park again where she just sat – sat and waited…
I absolutely loved this book! My second by Aussie author Nicole Trope, and the best out of the two in my opinion. The suspense and tension which built up just around three quarters of the way through were such that I actually had to put the book down and do something else. But I couldn’t stop thinking about it! A gripping drama which is told in two voices – Tara’s and Minnie’s – and exceptionally well done. I have no hesitation in recommending The Secrets in Silence highly.

The author brings her characters to life in this novel. At the end all the characters mingle and the story ends happily.
I never would have downloaded this book if I knew it had such terrible language. Could have worked without the constant F-bomb.
Well written, I love this author! Suspense and humanity makes this novel a compelling read. You won't want to put it down. And I like happy endings.
I enjoyed reading "The Secrets in Silence" and recommended this book to anyone who likes fast pace reading and a good storyline. It is the story of a pregnant teenager delivers her baby in a restroom at a mall only to find out she left it for dead.
A well written book about lots of terrible happenings that ended in a good way for a young girl an older lady and a baby
Loved the depth of the characters. Second one of her books I've read, can't wait to read more. Boy Under The Table was the first
Another book that kept me captivated as to see what would happen to the characters and I had to keep turning the pages to find out the end and then I was sad to finish.. can see this as one that could have a sequel to it. Gave to a insight into what different people feel when they are different. Great researching thanks Nicole once again.
